Position Summary:
We are seeking a Receptionist with IT Troubleshooting Knowledge to join our administrative team. This role blends traditional front-desk responsibilities with entry-level IT support duties. It is ideal for someone who enjoys both people-facing service and hands-on tech problem-solving.
Key Responsibilities:
- Welcome and assist visitors, students, and staff at the front desk
- Answer phone calls and email inquiries professionally and efficiently
- Provide hands-on support for basic IT tasks:
- Setup of computers, monitors, keyboards, and peripherals
- Troubleshooting display, login, and basic software issues
- Assisting with printer setup, paper jams, and toner replacement
- Maintain an internal log of IT issues and escalate complex problems to technical staff
- Assist with administrative tasks: scheduling, filing, updating student records
- Keep the reception area clean, organized, and welcoming
Qualifications:
- Minimum 3 years of experience in a receptionist, administrative, or IT support role
- Experience in an educational or post-secondary environment preferred
- Working knowledge of:
- Windows OS
- Basic networking
- Printer troubleshooting
- Strong communication, organization, and multitasking skills
- Ability to remain calm and professional in a busy office environment
Schedule:
- Monday to Friday
- Full-time, on-site
