Job Responsibility:
Advanced Medical Solutions Inc. (AMS) is hiring a full-time Human Resources Services Administrator (18-month contract) to join our team.
This is an opportunity to work at our Headquarters in the Yellowknife office or remotely in Edmonton, AB with other members of our Administrative Team. If you are looking for a change and different pace of life, then look no further.
Position Overview:
We are seeking a detail-oriented and proactive HR Services Administrator to join our People & Culture team. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in HR administration, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to handle confidential information with integrity. This role will support various HR functions, including but not limited to onboarding, employee records management, and compliance.
Primary Responsibilities:
- Employee onboarding, including preparing new hire packages & documentation.
- Maintain accurate, up-to-date, and complete personnel records, ensuring diligent record-keeping practices.
- Track expiration dates for employee certifications, training, and other time-sensitive documents, ensuring timely renewals and compliance.
- Collaborate with internal departments to advise on employee changes, as necessary.
- Draft memoranda, correspondence, and other employment documentation.
- Maintain human resources information, policies and procedures, and related records systems in compliance with applicable legislation.
- Present a positive and professional image of the organization when interacting with employees, clients/customers, visitors, and other external stakeholders.
- Assist with employee engagement activities.
- Proactively anticipate HR needs and potential issues, demonstrating forward-thinking capabilities.
- Other duties and project work as assigned.

- Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to build strong relationships.
- Superior written and oral communication skills, including professional email etiquette.
- Exceptional organization and time management skills.
- Ability to work under pressure and manage multiple priorities.
- Flexible and adaptable to work in a diverse and fast-paced environment.
- Ability to work independently as well as part of a team.
- Knowledge of applicable employment legislation, and the ability to read and interpret legislation.
- Strong sense of ethics and the ability to maintain a high level of confidentiality in all interactions.
- Proficiency in MS Office Suite
Education and Experience
- A degree or diploma in Human Resources, Human Resources Management, or Business Administration with an HR major, or a related Bachelor with a Human Resources major is preferred. New graduates or soon-to-be graduates are welcome to apply.
- Minimum 2 years of customer service experience is an asset
- Minimum 1 year of administration experience
- Experience with UKG strongly recommended
- Prior Healthcare experience is beneficial
