Job Responsibility:
Description: Responsible for all aspects of facility building and Zamboni operation including ice maintenance, flooding, building maintenance, and janitorial duties.
Hours: Can range from 10-20 hours per week, including weekends and holidays.
Requirements: Hands-on understanding of Zamboni operation, maintenance, and repair. All around knowledge of mechanical equipment and facility maintenance.
- A minimum of 2 years of previous training and operation of ice resurfacing equipment a must
- Working knowledge of ice making and ice maintenance
- Established attention to detail
- Willingness to learn and teach new skills
- Ability to accept and evaluate criticism on ice conditions
- Demonstrated ability to be a team player
- Ability to lift heavy objects of up to 20 pounds; e.g. bags of water softener salt
- Good communication skills
- Basic Computer knowledge
- Mechanical aptitude an asset
- Certified Ice Technician
- Must have a valid class G license
- Grade 12 High school or equivalent
- Current CPR / First Aid Certificate
- Vulnerable Sector Check required
