About This Faculty Role:

HTS has an exciting opportunity for a Technology Integration Specialist to join our team. This position works 12 months per year (with 4 weeks off in the summer).

The Technology Integration Specialist (TIS) is part of a team responsible for integrating information technology into teaching and learning at HTS. This position champions the appropriate use of technology and pedagogical best practices whenever and wherever learning takes place. The TIS delivers curriculum in the classroom and in support of our school's innovation and technology-focussed student life programs. They help develop and deliver technology-related professional development to all staff at the school.

What You Need:

We are inviting candidates with the following qualifications to apply:

• University degree and a Bachelor of Education
• Ontario College of Teachers Certificate with at least 5 years of classroom experience
• Google Certified Educator or Innovator and Apple Teacher Certification
• Have expertise and experience with a wide variety of technologies commonly used in an educational environment
• Have experience in adult education practices or in teaching or training adult learners
• Expertise differentiating instruction to meet the diverse needs and interests of learners
• The willingness and ability to collaborate with various community members
• Experience integrating technology into the learning environment to enhance and augment the learning experience
• Experience in working in a maker space or with design and fabrication equipment is beneficial
• Has expertise with the use of a variety of hardware and software. This includes and is not limited to:
• Apple Products, MacOS, iOS
• Google Education Suite
• Adobe Products (Creative Cloud)
• CAD Design (Autodesk products)
