Right now we’re looking for a Registered Practical Nurse to work in our 8 West, AcuteMedicine Unit .

Employee Status: Full Time Reporting Relationship: Manager of8 East & West Hourly Rate Range: $38.893 - $39.458 Employee Group: NOWU Schedule Requirements: Evenings, rotating weekdays and weekends.

Location: Hennick Humber Hospital formerly Wilson Site Position Responsibilities:

• RPN responsibilities set out by the department.

Qualifications:

• Graduate from a recognized Registered Practical Nursing two year diploma program.
• Current RPN registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario.
• Current BCLS certification.
• Excellent organizational skills with an ability to set priorities.
• Experience with patient health teaching.
• Demonstrate adherence to the hospital's code of conduct
• Demonstrate competency in a variety of skills including (but not limited to), intramuscular injections, intravenous therapy initiation and discontinuation, Blood Transfusion, Wound Care Dressing, Medication Administration, etc.
• Minimum 1 year acute medical/surgical experience, preferred.
• Basic computer skills and Meditech experience is an asset.
• Knowledge of community resources.
• Excellent attendance and discipline free record required.
