Job Responsibility:
- WE ARE EXPANDING
3rd year Apprentice required
In and out of town work
- Must be willing to work in the Calgary area and the surrounding vicinity
- Experience with the installation of EMT conduit systems is an asset
- Exposure to the Canadian Electrical Code is an asset
- Fire Alarm knowledge is highly recommended
- Basic tools required (a list can be provided)
- Competent in the use of hand and power tools
- Being mechanically inclined is an asset
- Ability to conduct work while standing, bending, crawling, lifting, climbing, pulling, and reaching
- Ability to conduct work in confined spaces, on ladders, and/or aerial platforms
- Must be comfortable working from heights
- Organizational and planning skills are an asset
- Attention to detail and take pride in their workmanship
- Has a fully functioning cell phone
Qualifications
- Construction Safety Training Systems (CSTS) Certification (can be provided)
- Valid Class 5 driver's license required
- Reliable vehicle
- Able to travel/work out of town
- Commercial experience is an asset
- Ability to work well as part of a team
- Some knowledge of electrical circuitry and wiring is an asset
- Knowledge of the Canadian electrical code (CEC) is an asset
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics is an asset
- Ability to follow written and verbal instructions
- Knowledge of circuitry and power distribution is an asset
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $24.00-$28.00 per hour
Expected hours: No less than 40 per week
