Principal Engineer for Data Platforms

Shape the future of data platforms at TD Securities as a Principal Engineer. Help drive rapid evolution while delivering customer solutions and managing operations within a diverse technology team. The Velocity team is seeking a Principal Engineer to lead data platform operations and enhance customer delivery. This role demands expertise in programming languages, cloud environments like Azure, and solid experience in PaaS offerings. You will guide a small team, optimize platform efficiency, and ensure customer satisfaction through innovative technical solutions. Key Responsibilities:
- Own data platform operations and customer engagement
- Provide creative solutions for platform limitations
- Monitor platform health and FinOps metrics
- Lead solution engineers in addressing complex challenges
- Design and implement Azure functionality components
- 8+ years of relevant experience
- Expert knowledge in Java, Python, or Scala
- Strong Azure cloud environment experience
- Familiar with CI/CD and DevOps workflows
- Leadership skills to manage multiple priorities
