Schedule: Continental Rotation (12-hour shifts: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM / 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM)
Lead Security Operations at One of Toronto's Leading Hospitals
Paladin Security is seeking an experienced Security Shift Supervisor to join our team at North York General Hospital , one of Toronto's most respected community teaching hospitals. In this leadership role, you'll oversee day-to-day security operations, mentor security officers, and help maintain a safe and welcoming environment for patients, visitors, staff, and healthcare professionals.

What You'll Do
As the Security Shift Supervisor, you will:
- Lead, coach, and support security personnel during your assigned shift.
- Schedule staff and ensure full security coverage across the site.
- Ensure compliance with all site-specific procedures and security protocols.
- Conduct regular security patrols and facility inspections.
- Respond to and investigate incidents, emergencies, and complaints.
- Complete incident reports and maintain accurate documentation.
- Train and mentor new security staff while ensuring certifications remain current.
- Recognize strong performance and manage corrective action when required.
- Work closely with the Client Service Manager to ensure smooth daily operations.
Requirements
Required Qualifications
- Valid Ontario Security Guard License.
- Valid First Aid & CPR Level C certification.
- Valid Ontario G-Class Driver's License.
- Clear Vulnerable Sector Check.
- Proof of double COVID-19 vaccination.
- Completed immunization record (Measles, Mumps, Rubella, Varicella, and 2-step TB test).
- Willingness to complete N95 mask fit testing.
- Strong verbal and written English communication skills.
- Minimum 2 years of healthcare security experience .
- Legally authorized to work in Canada.
- Use of Force (UOF) and Management of Aggressive Behavior (MOAB) certifications, or willingness to complete Paladin's sponsored certification program.
Preferred Qualifications
- Previous experience as a Security Supervisor or Team Lead.
- Post-secondary education in Security, Law Enforcement, Criminology, or a related field.
