This is an exciting opportunity to join NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde and play a leading role in shaping the future of clinical research delivery. As a Research Nurse Manager within the Glasgow Clinical Research Facility, you will lead innovative research across primary, secondary and community care settings, helping to expand access to high-quality clinical trials. Duration, Location, and Working Pattern:

• Full Time, Fixed Term
• Base Location: Institute of Neuroscience, Queen Elizabeth University Hospital
• Shift Pattern: Monday to Friday, 08:30 – 16:30 (with flexibility to meet service needs)

Key Responsibilities

• Lead the delivery of high-quality clinical research across primary care, community and acute settings, ensuring safety and excellence of care
• Develop and implement strategies to expand research capacity and establish research-active GP practices across NHSGGC
• Act as lead nurse for a portfolio of studies, ensuring compliance with protocols, SOPs, governance standards and regulatory requirements
• Manage, motivate and develop a multidisciplinary research team, ensuring staff are trained, supported and empowered to deliver research effectively
• Build strong partnerships with stakeholders, including GP practices, sponsors and research networks, to enhance collaborative working
• Lead the development and delivery of recruitment strategies to identify, consent and retain study participants
• Provide regular reports on research activity, performance and development to senior management and key stakeholders

Knowledge, training, qualifications and/or experience required to do the job:

• Registered Nurse with significant post-registration experience within an acute or research environment
• Degree-level qualification with evidence of ongoing professional development
• Experience in managing clinical research projects, including academic and commercial CTIMPs and non-CTIMP studies
• Highly developed clinical and technical skills with the ability to train, supervise and mentor research staff
• Significant management experience with the ability to lead, motivate and develop teams effectively
• Knowledge of Good Clinical Practice, research governance, regulatory frameworks and relevant legislation
• Strong organisational skills with the ability to prioritise workloads, meet targets and produce reports, SOPs and presentations
