Make a Difference in the Lives of Seniors Senior Helpers of White Rock and South Surrey is hiring caregivers or health care aids! If you are caring, dependable, and enjoy helping seniors live safely and comfortably at home, we would love to hear from you. We welcome applicants with experience in home care, assisted living, independent living, senior living, nursing homes, or healthcare. As a caregiver with Senior Helpers, you will have the opportunity to build meaningful relationships with seniors and their families while helping improve their quality of life. We will match your skills and experience with the needs of our clients. HCA's, care aids, private caregivers, LPN's and newly grad HCA's ( with or without BC registry number) are encouraged to apply! Responsibilities:

• Assist clients with Activities of Daily Living (ADLs) such as bathing, grooming, dressing or as assigned based on the care plan
• Providing emotional support and companionship to patients and their families
• Engage clients in conversation and enjoyable activities
• Prepare meals and help with light household tasks
• Help clients maintain a safe, comfortable, and clean home
• Monitoring and reporting any changes in the client's condition to the healthcare team
• Providing assistance with mobility and transferring patients safely
• Assisting with medication reminders and medication administration under supervision
• Provide respectful and compassionate care based on each client's needs

Qualifications

• Reliable transportation and flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends
• Caring, compassionate, and dependable
• Willing to learn and develop new skills
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Previous experience in healthcare, home care, assisted living, independent living, or nursing is an asset
• Active registration with the BC Care Aide & Community Health Worker Registry, active nursing licence, or equivalent qualification is an asset
• Negative TB test completed in the past 90 days
• A negative Criminal Record Check and Vulnerable Sector Check issued in the past 90 days
• Certification in CPR and First Aid (preferred)
