Reporting to the Director of Operations & Engineering, the Product Development Manager will lead one of the organization's most important functions at a pivotal stage in SeedMaster's evolution. This role extends well beyond overseeing engineering projects; it is responsible for shaping the company's product development strategy, establishing greater structure and discipline across the function, and helping define the long-term product roadmap. Leading a growing team of product development engineers, engineering technologists, and prototype specialists, the successful candidate will balance major product innovation with enhancements to the current product portfolio and ongoing evolution of legacy platforms while working collaboratively across operations, production engineering, sales, marketing, senior leadership, the Board, and key external partners.

The ideal candidate is a technically credible and commercially minded product development leader with experience in agricultural equipment, ideally within seeding or closely related crop production systems. They understand how to translate customer needs, agronomic insight, and manufacturing realities into successful products while bringing the leadership required to prioritize competing initiatives and guide multidisciplinary engineering teams. Equally important, they are a builder—someone who thrives in an entrepreneurial environment, brings clarity without unnecessary bureaucracy, creates practical product development processes, and earns trust through collaboration, emotional intelligence, and sound judgment.
