We are a family located in South Edmonton (Larkspur) seeking a kind, dependable, and nurturing nanny to care for our two children, ages 2.5 and 5. Schedule: Monday to Friday: 8:00 a.m. to 12:00 p.m. Saturday: 8:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. Sunday: Potentially, depending on availability and our family's needs Most of the weekday care will be for our 5-year-old, who attends kindergarten in the afternoons. Reliability is the most important requirement for our family. Both parents work in positions that require us to maintain consistent schedules, so we need someone who can be counted on to arrive on time and attend all scheduled shifts. We understand that genuine emergencies occur, but we are specifically looking for someone who takes their work commitments seriously and can provide consistent, dependable care. We are also looking for someone who is patient, kind, and understanding. Our older son is autistic, so experience working with autistic or neurodivergent children would be an asset. More importantly, we are looking for someone who is compassionate, willing to understand his individual needs, and able to provide a calm and supportive environment. Responsibilities will primarily include childcare, engaging the children in age-appropriate educational and recreational activities, preparing simple and healthy meals or snacks, and helping maintain a tidy and organized environment. Some light household duties related to the children and general upkeep will also be expected. We are open to discussing either a live-in or live-out arrangement for the right person.
