Senior Engineer: Tailings & Geotechnical Design

AtkinsRéalis is looking for a Senior Engineer specializing in tailings and geotechnical design. Join our dynamic TWE team to influence mining sustainability projects across Canada. In this role, you will lead design initiatives for tailings containment facilities while collaborating with various engineering specialists. You’ll mentor junior engineers and ensure adherence to safety standards through rigorous technical reviews and inspections. Your insights will also shape business proposals and project strategies. Key Responsibilities:
- Oversee teams in tailings storage facility design
- Collaborate on tailings containment innovations
- Perform technical reviews and geotechnical assessments
- Conduct dam safety inspections and risk evaluations
- Participate in business development activities
- Degree in civil or geological engineering
- Professional Engineer designation in Canada
- 15+ years of relevant experience in Mining and Metals
- Strong background in tailings design methodologies
- Proven leadership and communication skills
