About Lifemark Physiotherapy Kamloops, Located In Kamloops, BC.
The clinical team at our Kamloops clinic are passionate about enriching the health of their clients through a holistic approach, as the Occupational Therapist you will create tailored rehabilitation plans, recommend job or home modifications, and assist with return-to-work planning. Also addressing physical, cognitive, or emotional challenges and support skill-building and environmental adaptation to improve their independence and quality of life.
Kamloops is a vibrant city in south-central British Columbia, situated at the confluence of the North and South Thompson rivers and serves as a major economic, cultural, and outdoor recreation hub in the BC Interior.

Your impact
You will facilitate a safe, timely, and sustainable return to work for employees after injury, illness, or disability by analyzing the intersection of the worker's functional abilities and the job's demands. In this role, you will:
- Evaluate the worker's physical, cognitive, and psychological functions, as well as job demands and workplace environment
- Develop tailored plans to help workers return to their pre-injury roles or alternative work.
- Design personalised programs to enhance job readiness, promote physical health and increase the chances of long-term employment success
- Perform clinical evaluations, provide exercises, functional tasks, and cognitive strategies (e.g., pacing, energy conservation) to address injury-related deficits.
- Teach techniques like mindfulness, relaxation, and sleep hygiene to manage pain, fatigue, and emotional distress.
- Provide education to the client and employer about the recovery process, the benefits of staying connected to work, and their roles in the plan.
- Provide tailored support through work simulation activities and work conditioning programs
- Record assessment and treatment interventions in the client's chart
- Excel in a collaborative, inter-disciplinary team environment
- Exhibit sound professional judgment
Are you the right fit?
As one of the largest networks of OTs in the nation, you will work within a supportive, multidisciplinary environment, delivering high-quality, client-centred care across multiple clinics or specific clinics and community settings. Key skills and qualifications include:
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
- Knowledge of current Occupational Therapy standards, modalities and scope of practice; or an equivalent combination of education, training and experience.
- Registered and in good standing with the College of Health and Care Professionals of British Columbia.
- 1-3 years of experience as an Occupational Therapist is preferred.
- Newly Licensed Graduates are accepted.
- Valid Driver's License and reliable vehicle, a plus.
Other Requirements
- Clinical experience is an asset in areas such as return to work/brain injury/neurological rehabilitation, mental health, musculoskeletal/orthopedic injury, and home safety ergonomics.
- Passion for your profession and commitment to ongoing professional development
- Superior interpersonal relations, communication, problem-solving, time management, computer and documentation skills
- Proficiency in computer skills
- Demonstrated ability to work collaboratively as a member of a multidisciplinary team
