Yellowknife Education District No. 1 is now accepting applications for the following position:
Payroll/Finance Officer
District Office
This position will be responsible for payroll processing and finance duties. The position will have to communicate on a daily basis with staff for payroll and financial inquiries.
This position is required to work a minimum of 7.5 hours per day and during busy school months of September and June may be required to work overtime.
The ideal candidate will possess the following education and qualifications:
- a Degree or Diploma in Business Administration, preferable with a major in Accounting
- a Payroll Compliance Practitioner (PCP), and/or Certified Payroll Manager (CPM) with Canadian Payroll Association
- a minimum of two years’ experience processing a full cycle of payroll/ financial accounting and year-end audits
- demonstrated ability to communicate effectively written and orally
YK1 has an excellent benefits package for employees. Salary will be negotiated based on qualifications and experience.
