About the role

The Hospital strives to deliver care that is centred on patients and families. Patient and Family Centred Care (PFCC)

Under the general direction of the Manager ‑ MDRD, the MDRD Operator cleans, maintains, wraps sterilizes and

distributes medical equipment.

Qualifications

• Secondary School Graduation Diploma.
• Must be currently certified with Medical Device Reprocessing Association of Ontario (MDRAO).
• Recertification with (CSAO) every five (5) years is required.
• Must be trained and competent in the core functions of MDR.
• Knowledge of medical terminology and anatomy, particularly in the operative area, with evidence of training in

asepsis or sterile technique.

• Working knowledge of O.R. instrumentation.
• Knowledge and skill of sterilization technique according to standards for Vaporized Peroxide and Steam.
• Ability to work with minimum supervision and in a fast paced team environment.
• Proven track record of compliance with the Code of Conduct.

Salary Range: $28.537 to 28.992
