Salary: $90,000-$100,000/yr

JOB DESCRIPTION

Insight Global is seeking a skilled senior financial analyst, corporate tax to join a leading insurance company based in Waterloo, Ontario, where you will lead end‑to‑end corporate tax compliance across federal and provincial jurisdictions, prepare returns and schedules for corporate income tax, insurance premium tax, GST/HST, PST, and IIT, and support quarterly and year‑end tax provisions and taxable‑income calculations; in this role, you will monitor evolving tax legislation and communicate impacts to stakeholders, assist with internal and external audits including CRA and provincial reviews, manage audit queries and documentation, and provide tax guidance to business units; you will also develop and maintain tax models and reporting tools, drive process improvements and automation opportunities, support updates to tax accounting policies, maintain accurate documentation and reconciliations, participate in tax planning and recovery initiatives, research complex tax issues, and review tax assessments while managing amendments, objections, or appeals as required.

REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• 3-5+ years of relevant tax experience within insurance, financial services, or the big four accounting firms
• Strong knowledge and depth of tax accounting, reporting, and compliance requirements
• CPA designation (or international equivalent)
• Post-secondary education in accounting, finance, or business administration

NICE TO HAVE SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE

• Completion of CPA In-Depth Tax (Parts I & II) is considered an asset
• Technology background with Power BI or equivalent
