1- Strong experience within Server Virtualization utilizing VMware implementing and managing the virtual env.

2 - 5 Years of experience within RedHat, OpenShift Administering and optimizing the clusters (installation, upgrades, scaling, troubleshooting)

Experience executing migrations during controlled maintenance windows with minimal business disruption

Project Overview

Our client is undertaking a large-scale infrastructure modernization initiative focused on migrating virtual machines between multiple hypervisor platforms. The successful candidate will support end-to-end migration activities across environments including Red Hat OpenShift, Proxmox VE, and SUSE Harvester.

Working closely with the infrastructure team, you will execute VM migrations during planned maintenance windows, ensuring minimal disruption to business operations while maintaining compliance with established operational, security, and change management processes. This role is highly hands-on and will involve migration planning, validation, troubleshooting, testing, documentation, and post-migration stabilization activities.

The ideal candidate brings strong OpenShift administration experience, practical knowledge of modern virtualization platforms, and a proven track record supporting infrastructure migration projects in enterprise environments.

Responsibilities

• Execute end-to-end VM migration activities including discovery, preparation, validation, migration execution, testing, and stabilization.
• Perform migrations across OpenShift, Proxmox, Harvester, and related virtualization platforms.
• Conduct pre- and post-migration system health checks and application validation.
• Troubleshoot migration-related issues and work closely with infrastructure teams to resolve them.
• Maintain migration documentation, operational logs, and status reporting.
• Follow established runbooks, security standards, and change management procedures.
• Contribute to process improvements focused on migration efficiency, risk reduction, and operational excellence.

This is a Contract position based out of Toronto, ON.

The pay range for this position is $60.00 - $60.00/hr.
