Supervisor

As Required.In keeping with the Covenant Health’s Mission and Values and as an integral member of the Nutrition Food, Laundry and Environmental Services team, the Supervisor, is responsible for organizing and supervising the activities which support the provision of quality food, linen, and housekeeping services, to the patients/residents/and visitors of the Bonnyville Health Center. The Supervisor recruits, orientates, coordinates the training, supervises, evaluates and disciplines all direct employees. The supervisor is responsible for monitoring operational targets and making adjustments in daily work to achieve those targets, ensuring safe work practices and safe functioning of equipment in each area. The supervisor leads and/or participates in departmental meetings and programs, and performs other duties as required. Tasks are completed using electronic programs whenever available. All tasks are to be completed with minimal supervision and following all applicable policies and standard operating procedures. Experienced in customer relations, required.Preferred QualificationsCompletion of a two-year Food Service Management course or equivalent management training preferred. Food Safe certificate, preferred. Working knowledge of interpreting collective agreements. Current knowledge and comprehension of hospital cleaning guidelines and familiarity with cleaning chemicals used in the healthcare setting. Current knowledge and comprehension of dietary guidelines and food services terminology.
