Bonnyville and Area

The Lakeland Centre for Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder (LCFASD) has been providing Diagnostic, Intervention and Prevention of FASD services since 2000. We are known across the province and nationwide for our novel, non-judgmental, supportive services.

Our Vision: We envision a region with no new FASD births and where currently affected individuals are well supported.

Our Mission: To establish and ensure that accurate information about FASD, and effective prevention, diagnosis and support services are available in the region.

About The Mentorship Program

The Mothers-to-Be Mentorship Program is a free, non-judgmental, 100% voluntary, mentorship program. The MTB Mentorship program is part the Parent-Child Assistance Program, an evidence-based program whose primary goal is to prevent future births of alcohol and drug exposed children.

Mentors provide one-on-one support to women to have and raise healthy babies. This program is for women who are pregnant, are planning to become pregnant or who have recently given birth and are using substances and want to make a real, positive change for their future.
