Lecturer in Social Sciences

The Department of Social and Political Sciences at Brunel University of London is a thriving interdisciplinary Department, which features research and teaching in Politics, International Relations, Geography, History, Sociology, Communications and Media Studies, Journalism, Anthropology, Global Challenges and Criminology. It delivers 34 undergraduate and postgraduate programmes across these subject areas. The Department has superb research across all disciplines, together with excellent NSS results.

In response to the award of a Leverhulme Fellowship to a permanent member of staff, we are seeking to appoint a lecturer who will be able to contribute to teaching, assessment and leadership of existing social science modules. While there is some flexibility in where the post-holder will contribute, we particularly welcome applications from individuals who would be able deliver teaching in Sociology, Criminology and/or quantitative methods.

Salary: Grade 8 from: £45,390 to £58,263 inclusive of London Weighting, with potential to progress to £65,236 per annum through sustained exceptional contribution. (Pro-rata if Part-time)
