The Role

We are seeking a dynamic and resourceful Talent Acquisition Partner to join our growing People & Culture team. In this role, you will play a pivotal part in identifying, attracting, and selecting top technical talent to support Versaterm's growth and success. You will be partnering with hiring managers within our Research & Development and Product teams to understand staffing needs, develop effective recruitment strategies, and ensure an exceptional candidate experience.

This role is based full-time in our Ottawa office. Ask us about how you can participate in our In-Office Friday Flex Day Program and receive up to twelve (12) paid Fridays off per year (in addition to your annual vacation days!).

What You'll Do

Recruitment and Sourcing:

• Develop and implement innovative sourcing strategies to attract qualified candidates for various roles.
• Utilize job boards, social media, networking events, and other channels to identify potential talent.
• Build and maintain a talent pipeline to meet current and future hiring needs.
• Review resumes, applications, and portfolios to identify suitable candidates.
• Conduct initial phone screenings, behavioural interviews, and schedule interviews with hiring managers.
• Facilitate and coordinate the interview process, ensuring alignment with company values and role requirements.

Collaboration and Stakeholder Engagement:

• Partner with hiring managers to understand job requirements and team dynamics.
• Provide regular updates on recruitment progress and insights into market trends.
• Act as a trusted advisor to hiring teams, offering guidance on best practices for attracting top talent.

Employer Branding and Candidate Experience:

• Promote Versaterm's employer brand through various recruitment channels and initiatives.
• Ensure a seamless and positive experience for all candidates throughout the hiring process.
• Represent the organization at career fairs, networking events, and industry conferences.

Data and Compliance:

• Maintain accurate and organized records of recruitment activities in the applicant tracking system (ATS).
• Monitor and report on key metrics such as time-to-fill, source effectiveness, and hiring quality.

What You Bring

• Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field
• 5+ years of proven experience as a technical recruiter or in a similar role, preferably in a high-paced tech environment
• Strong knowledge of technical roles, skill sets, and familiarity with modern programming languages
• Familiarity with various sourcing techniques and tools (e.g., LinkedIn Recruiter, Greenhouse, Boolean search).
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to build relationships at all levels.
• Excellent organizational and time-management abilities, with attention to detail.
