Senior Project Manager - BRT and Roads

Who are we looking for?
Our Ontario Transportation Group is seeking a Senior Project Manager / Project Director to join our Canadian Operations. The position can be located in any of our Whitby , Markham , Mississauga , St. Catharines , or Waterloo offices.
Due to growth in our transportation practice, we are looking for a Senior Project Manager for any of our GTA offices. This role will be key in developing and expanding GHD's Transit / Rail practice.
Responsibilities
- Deliver projects on time, within budget, and to quality standards, providing leadership and supervision.
- Monitor project schedules, coordinate with sub-consultants, municipalities, utility companies, railway owners/operators, and clients; assist with contract administration.
- Lead Bus Rapid Transit (BRT) and road/bridge projects for municipal clients.
- Manage project teams, ensuring integration across disciplines for high-quality deliverables.
- Identify and manage project risks, issues, dependencies, and constraints; develop solutions as needed.
- Assess and track the realization of project benefits through baseline assessments and post-implementation reviews.
- Manage project resources and budgets, providing forecasts and variance explanations.
- Foster a culture of innovation through stakeholder engagement and creative solutions.
- Communicate strategic actions and motivate team members to achieve business goals.
- Contribute to business development through proposal writing, client relationship management, and capture planning.
- Manage transformational change projects, ensuring integration and stakeholder acceptance.
- Develop stakeholder engagement plans and manage project scope and assurance reviews.
- Interpret business needs and recommend solutions at the business unit level.
Qualifications
- Master's Degree or equivalent.
- Ontario P.Eng. designation or eligibility.
Experience
- 15+ years in transportation infrastructure design and engineering, including BRT.
- Experience working with municipal transportation clients in the Greater Toronto Area.
