Job Responsibility:
Frontera Geotechnical Inc. (Frontera) is a full-service geotechnical consulting firm based out of Squamish, BC. We are an experienced team of professional geotechnical engineers and geologists, EITs, and technicians who work together in a collaborative environment. Our projects are mainly located within the Lower Mainland, the Sea to Sky region and on the Sunshine Coast.
Frontera's diverse client portfolio includes public institutions, developers, specialty contractors, and other engineering firms. Our projects are equally diverse and include small buildings and houses to large infrastructure projects.
We are seeking a well-rounded civil draftsperson and technician to join our team. The ideal candidate will have a strong work ethic and technical skills, and an interest in geotechnical work.
Duties and Responsibilities
· Support geotechnical engineers with design and drafting, cost estimating, and construction specifications.
· Create and complete drafting and design assignments independently using AutoCAD and other design software and ensure drawing quality control.
· Collect and analyse field data using observation, sampling, and testing.
Qualifications and Attributes
· A technical diploma in civil engineering technology or design and drafting.
· One to five years of civil engineering drafting experience.
· Experience using AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred).
· Valid Driver's License a necessity, and access to a vehicle is preferred.
· Great communication skills and a can-do attitude along with the ability to clearly communicate technical ideas visually.

A hybrid work option may be negotiable for those that prefer to live in the Lower Mainland or Sunshine Coast areas, but regular days in our head office is needed, due to the nature of the work.

The salary range for this full-time position is $55,000 to $90,000 per year, depending on skills and experience.
