Flat Roofing Foreman

Location: Ottawa, Ontario - on-site field position at job sites throughout Ottawa and surrounding communities

Remember Me Roofing is hiring an experienced Flat Roofing Foreman to lead membrane roofing projects in the Ottawa area. The successful candidate will combine advanced installation knowledge with practical crew leadership, careful planning, and a strong commitment to safety, quality control, and professional customer service.

Key Responsibilities

• Lead and work alongside a flat roofing crew on installation, replacement, and repair projects
• Plan daily production, assign work, and monitor crew performance
• Oversee substrate preparation, insulation, vapour barriers, membrane installation, flashing, detailing, and waterproofing
• Confirm that installations follow project specifications and manufacturer requirements
• Enforce fall-protection, fire-safety, equipment, and site-safety procedures
• Identify field conditions, troubleshoot leaks, and resolve installation challenges
• Coordinate labour, materials, tools, and deliveries with the project team
• Maintain professional communication and ensure complete jobsite cleanup

Qualifications

• Several years of professional flat or membrane roofing experience
• Previous foreman, lead-hand, or crew-lead experience
• Strong knowledge of commercial and residential flat-roof assemblies and waterproofing details
• Experience with applicable membrane systems and installation tools
• Ability to read plans, scopes, and manufacturer specifications
• Confident working at heights and outdoors in changing weather
• Strong leadership, organization, safety awareness, and problem-solving skills
• Valid driver's licence and reliable transportation to assigned job sites throughout Ottawa and surrounding communities are required
• Ability to understand and communicate job site instructions and safety information in English. 

Pay and Benefits

• Full-time, permanent employment
• Pay: CA$45.00-CA$55.00 per hour, based on experience and leadership capability

• Opportunity to work with an established, quality-focused Ottawa contractor
• Schedule: Monday-Friday, with start times and hours varying based on project schedules and weather conditions. Occasional overtime may be required.
