Ceridian Dayforce Optimization Consultant (Contract)Location: Remote (may require periodic travel to Southwestern Ontario, Kitchener/Waterloo Region. Duration: 3 months with potential for extensionWork Hours: Full-time hours also open to fractional or part-time options. Our client, an established organization operating in a regulated and process-driven environment, is seeking a Ceridian Dayforce Optimization Consultant to support a post-implementation review. The ideal consultant will bring strong functional expertise in Ceridian Dayforce, particularly within payroll and workforce management, and will be comfortable stepping into an environment that requires immediate troubleshooting, root cause analysis, and practical solutions. This role will suit someone who can work independently, engage effectively with stakeholders, and help restore confidence in payroll operations and system controls.Key ResponsibilitiesPerform a detailed assessment of the current Dayforce environment, including payroll setup, workflows, business rules, and system configurationIdentify root causes of configuration, process, or control failures and recommend practical corrective actionsReview current controls, exception handling, approval paths, and system alerts to determine where safeguards need to be strengthenedEvaluate payroll and workforce management setup for employee groups, including more complex or rules-based populations where applicableRecommend and support enhancements to improve payroll accuracy, workflow effectiveness, and overall system reliabilityDevelop testing approaches and validation procedures to confirm fixes are working as intendedSupport issue resolution by coordinating between internal stakeholders and external Dayforce support resources where neededCreate documentation covering current issues, recommended changes, updated processes, and future-state controlsProvide user guidance, training, and knowledge transfer to internal teams to improve system understanding and adoptionRobert Half is the world's first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
