ABOUT THE TEAM
The Procurement and Logistics team supports RRC Polytech’s operations through the coordination of inventory management, shipping and receiving, mail services, and internal distribution across campus locations. The team ensures the accurate and efficient receipt, handling, storage, and distribution of supplies, equipment, materials, and food products. Working collaboratively with academic, research, and administrative departments, the team supports daily operations while maintaining accurate documentation and transactions within the institution’s ERP system.

WHAT YOU WILL DO
The Storekeeper supports inventory control activities, including maintaining item locations, monitoring min/max stock levels, completing cycle counts, and updating item master data within an integrated ERP system. The role focuses on receiving, organizing, storing, and distributing materials to maintain appropriate inventory levels and support daily operational needs. The Storekeeper works closely with Supply Coordinators and other Storekeepers to coordinate daily activities while assisting with shipping, receiving, and overall warehouse operations. 

WHAT YOU WILL BRING

• Certificate or diploma in supply chain management or a related field. Combination of education and warehouse/inventory experience may be considered
• Several years of experience in warehouse operations, including shipping, receiving, inventory control, and material handling
• Demonstrated proficiency with ERP systems and computerized inventory management tools
• Physical ability to perform warehouse duties including, lifting, carrying and standing for long periods of time
• Experience establishing, organizing and maintaining inventory locations including stock rotation, cycle count process and other inventory management functions to support operational efficiency and accuracy
• Strong customer service skills, including the ability to handle inquiries, resolve issues related to inventory, shipments or material distribution, and provide timely, accurate information to internal departments and external partners
• Ability to work independently and in a team setting
• Knowledge of Safety Data Sheets (SDS), Transportation of Dangerous Goods (TDG), Workplace Hazardous Materials Information System (WHMIS), and safe handling procedures
• Proficient with MS Office suite, including Outlook, Word and Excel
• Ability to operate warehouse equipment, including forklifts, pallet jacks, pallet wrappers, and hand trucks
• Experience building a respectful workplace culture that promotes diversity, learning and continuous improvement

• Openness to using AI tools as relevant to role specific work
• Knowledge of lean principles or continuous improvement methodologies (e.g., Six Sigma, Kaizen)
• Intermediate proficiency in Excel or other data analysis/reporting tools

• Salary Range for this position:  $45,052 - $63,505 per annum
• Generous Paid Vacation: full-time employees accumulate a minimum of 15-days vacation per year, increasing to 30 days with service, while full-time Instructors accumulate 44 days per year. CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT

• Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Criminal Records Check
• Incumbent must hold a valid class 5 driver`s license
• May be required to work at various RRC Polytech campuses
• Incumbent must provide a current and satisfactory Child Abuse Registry Check
• Incumbent must be physically capable of performing the Duties and Responsibilities of the position including the ability to lift/move up to 50lbs/23kg
