Senior Data Analyst

A career as a Senior Data Analyst in the Financial crime team at National Bank means serving as a Data and Analytics Specialist. This position allows you to have a concrete impact on decision-making and the evolution of the sector's analytical capabilities thanks to your expertise in data analysis, business intelligence and information governance. You will play a key role in transforming data into strategic information, supporting business partners in their decisions and contributing to the evolution of data solutions in a constantly changing environment.

Your job

• Understand the needs of business partners and translate them into data requirements and adapted analytical solutions.
• Analyze sector data, define business rules and ensure they are documented in order to support rigourous governance.
• Prepare and validate reliable data for reports, dashboards, analyses and strategic initiatives.
• Work with the it and data engineering teams to develop data platforms and contribute to modernisation projects, particularly on snowflake.
• Diagnose data issues, identify their causes and coordinate their resolution to ensure operational continuity.
• Produce value-added analyses, make recommendations based on data and communicate the results to the partners concerned.

Within the Financial crime and regulatory projects sector, you will be part of the FinCrim Data Warehouse team and report to the Senior Manager - it Delivery - Data and Analytics. Prerequisites

• A Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Analytics, Business Intelligence or a related field.
• Over two years of significant experience in data analysis, business intelligence or analytics in a complex data environment.
• Proficient SQL and be able to analyse complex data sets.
• Python experience analyzing, profiling or automating data
• Ability to transform business needs into data requirements and analytical solutions
• Knowledge of modern data platforms, such as snowflake, as well as data modelling concepts, such as Data Vault or dimensional modelling.
