Vice President Business Group CISO

Lead business-group cybersecurity strategy at Sun Life as Vice President and Business Group Information Security Officer, combining executive advisory expertise with cyber risk oversight.
This senior security executive serves Sun Life Asset Management, partnering with the Business Group President, executives, technology leaders, and enterprise security. The role translates complex cyber risks into business impacts while guiding resilience, governance, regulatory engagement, and secure transformation. Reporting to the global Chief Security Officer, the position directs approximately ten security leads and advisors.
Key Responsibilities:
- Define and drive Business Group security strategy
- Provide independent cyber risk challenge and escalation
- Advise executives on security investments and trade-offs
- Lead governance, regulatory, and resilience activities
- Oversee Business Group Customer Identity and Access Management platforms
Requirements:
- University degree in a related discipline
- 15+ years of progressive cybersecurity or technology risk experience
- Senior global executive advisory experience
- Experience in highly regulated environments
- Strong business acumen and executive communication skills
