Senior Vice President (SVP)- Toronto Financial Services
Senior Vice President (SVP)- Toronto Financial Services Position Description
SVP, Sector Leader - Toronto Financial Services
Reporting to the BU Leader, Toronto Financial Services | Toronto, Ontario | Full P&L Accountability Lead the transformation of one of CGI Canada's largest Financial Services businesses. Shape the future of consulting, AI-enabled services, and client partnerships while building the next generation of growth. Build the business our clients will need tomorrow, not the business we've built yesterday. The Opportunity:
Toronto Financial Services is entering its next phase of growth. As AI reshapes the industry and client expectations evolve, Artificial Intelligence is transforming how clients operate. Global Capability Centres are reshaping delivery models. Market disruption is accelerating, and clients increasingly expect strategic business outcomes, not simply technology implementations. CGI is investing in a leader who can accelerate growth, strengthen executive relationships, expand consulting-led engagements, and position CGI as the partner of choice for business and technology transformation. Our success will come from bringing together the full capabilities of CGI to solve client business problems through Business Consulting, Systems Integration, Managed Services, AI-enabled services, reusable IP, and strategic partnerships. This role exists to build the future. You will lead one of CGI Canada's largest Financial Services businesses with full accountability for growth, profitability, client relationships, delivery excellence, and leadership development. Success will be measured by growing the business through the full capabilities of CGI, rather than maximizing individual service lines. Your future duties and responsibilities
What You'll Deliver: Accelerate Growth
Drive organic growth and win new business across Managed Services, Systems Integration, Business Consulting, and IP, both within existing client ecosystems and in new markets. Elevate Business Consulting
Position Business Consulting as a primary driver of transformational engagements. Increase consulting-led opportunities that create long-term strategic partnerships and expand CGI's influence within client organizations. Drive Profitable Growth
Improve profitability through disciplined portfolio management, innovative commercial models, and operational excellence. Shift the business toward higher-value, outcome-based engagements while strengthening contribution margins. Build AI into the Business
Use AI to improve productivity, delivery, and client outcomes while creating new revenue opportunities through AI-enabled services. Build a High-Performing Culture
Build a leadership bench and a culture that attracts exceptional talent. Simplify the operating model so growth does not require proportional headcount, while creating an environment where energy, collaboration, and belonging thrive. Create New Demand
Increase CGI's visibility with clients, alliance partners, and the market through measurable client outcomes, strategic relationships, and thought leadership. Grow Through Partnerships
Leverage hyperscaler and technology alliances together with client co-innovation to expand CGI's reach beyond existing relationships and create new opportunities for growth. Who You'll Work With
• Reports to the BU Leader, Financial Services.
• Leads Vice-Presidents and Directors across Consulting, Delivery, and Client Management.
• Partners with enterprise leaders across Business Consulting, IP/AI, HR, Marketing, and Operations.
• Builds strategic relationships with alliance partners and industry leaders.
• Engages directly with C-suite executives across the client base. The Operating Code Own It
Solve problems early with accountability and ownership. Move at the Speed of the Opportunity
Make timely decisions. Clients will not wait. Bring Ideas Before They're Asked For
Shape the agenda rather than reacting to it. Make AI Non-Negotiable
Ensure AI fluency across the leadership team and the business. Protect the Standard
Maintain quality, delivery excellence, and client trust under all circumstances. Say the Hard Thing Early
Lead with transparency and clarity to build stronger businesses. Prove It With Numbers
Measure success through outcomes and business impact. Make Noise About What Works
Recognize and share success so best practices can be adopted across the business. Required qualifications to be successful in this role
What You've Done Before
• Built or scaled a consulting, technology, or managed services business with full P&L accountability, growing revenue and margin together.
• Driven organic growth and new client acquisition across multiple service lines, not just one.
• Led executive-level client relationships and secured large, strategic engagements, including opportunities developed before formal procurement.
• Converted staff augmentation or time-and-materials engagements into outcome-based commercial models.
• Built leadership teams, succession plans, and market visibility through analyst relations, media engagement, and industry recognition.
• Led AI adoption across a leadership team, not just personally.
• Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience; an MBA is an asset. Success Looks Like
Three years from now:
• Revenue has outpaced the market.
• Business Consulting represents a larger share of the business.
• AI-enabled services generate meaningful revenue.
• Contribution margins have improved.
• Clients engage CGI earlier and more strategically.
