Pepino’s Spaghetti House, also known as "The House That Spaghetti Built," is a beloved Italian-American restaurant located in Vancouver’s Little Italy. With a nostalgic nod to its predecessor, Nick’s Spaghetti House, we offer generous servings of classic red sauce dishes like spaghetti & meatballs, mozzarella sticks, and Detroit-style deep dish pizza — all served with heart, soul, and a side of tradition. We believe in serving our guests with warmth, personality, and exceptional quality, and we are looking for an Expo to help bring that vision to life.

Position: Expo (Expeditor)
We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Expo to join our back-of-house team. As an Expo, you will be the critical link between the kitchen and the dining room, ensuring that every dish is prepared, plated, and delivered to our guests with precision and care.

Key Responsibilities:
Order Coordination:

• Relay orders from the front-of-house to the kitchen, ensuring accuracy and clarity. Monitor the progress of each dish to ensure timely and efficient preparation.

Quality Control:

• Inspect each dish before it leaves the kitchen to ensure it meets our standards for taste, presentation, and accuracy. Address any discrepancies promptly.

Communication:

• Serve as the liaison between the kitchen and front-of-house staff, conveying special requests, modifications, and timing information to ensure smooth service.

Problem-Solving:

• Address and resolve any issues that arise during service, such as missing items or special requests, to maintain guest satisfaction.

Team Collaboration:

• Work closely with chefs, line cooks, and servers to maintain a smooth and efficient workflow during service.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a back-of-house role, such as line cook or prep cook, is preferred but not required.
• Previous experience in a front-of-house role such as server is also preferred but not required.
• Strong communication skills and the ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment.
• Ability to multitask and remain calm under pressure in a fast-paced setting.
• Keen attention to detail and a passion for delivering high-quality food and service.
• Knowledge of food safety and sanitation practices.
