Our Staff Accountant will report directly to the Guardian Leader, our Controller.
Your primary responsibilities include:Accounts Receivable, invoicing, posting payments & collections
Accounts Payable, credit card statement
Reconciliations, various accounts
Bank Deposits, other duties as assigned
Payroll& Benefits admin
Cash Management (VLT's, ATM's, Cashouts and Floats, tips), daily sales journal entries
Assist our Controller when required, including support of month-end processes & journal entries Qualifications: Required: A minimum four-year university Bachelor's degree in Accounting, along with 510 years of relevant work experience, including Canadian payroll experience.
Required: Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel. Strong cash-handling skills, a solid understanding of accounting principles, financial calculations, and discrepancy identification. Must be organized, analytical, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently, managing competing priorities, and meeting deadlines under pressure.
Required: Experience with Sage 300 and/or other accounting software.
Familiarity with Opera is considered an asset.
Strong verbal and written communication skills, with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally with customers, vendors, and internal teams.
Availability: This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week, Monday to Friday, from 8:30 a.m. to 5:00 p.m.
