Security Manager

Founded in 2015, the company serves a collection of seven world-class owned venues and a client roster of the most iconic arenas, stadiums, convention centers, music festivals, performing arts centers, and cultural institutions, spanning four continents.Position SummaryReporting to the Director of Security, the Security Manager is responsible for overseeing all aspects of venue security, including staff management, event security planning, risk mitigation, guest safety, emergency preparedness, and compliance with applicable regulations. This leadership role will work closely with internal departments, external law enforcement, and contracted security partners to ensure a safe environment for guests, staff, and performers.This role pays an annual salary of $60,000-$80,000 CAD and is bonus eligible.Benefits for Full-Time roles: Health, Dental and Vision Insurance, Pension matching, and Paid Time Off (vacation days, sick days, and statutory holidays).This position will remain open until September 4, 2026.About The VenueThe newTD Coliseum will be the centerpiece of a premier music, sports, and live entertainment destination in Southwestern Ontario, delivering a premium event and hospitality experience for all. The reimagined arena will have exceptional features that will provide countless memories for attendeesResponsibilitiesLead security operations for all events and day-to-day venue activityDevelop and implement security plans and deployment strategiesCoordinate with event promoters, tour security, and local law enforcementAct as the venue's primary security contact during eventsRecruit, train, and supervise in-house and third-party security staffSchedule and manage shifts to ensure adequate coverage for all venue operationsProvide performance feedback, coaching, and corrective action where neededDevelop and maintain emergency action and evacuation plansLead emergency response efforts and incident investigationsConduct regular training and tabletop exercises with staffEnsure adherence to OVG safety standards, municipal codes, provincial regulations, and crowd control guidelinesMonitor venue access control, credentialing, and CCTV systemsMaintain detailed incident reports and support insurance/risk management effortsLead with a hospitality-first mindset to ensure guest interactions are safe, respectful, and professionalHandle escalated guest concerns and disturbances with discretion and professionalism Qualifications3-5+ years of experience in venue, stadium, or large-scale event securityProven supervisory and team leadership experienceStrong knowledge of emergency response protocols, crowd management, and physical security systemsCertified in First Aid/CPR, AED, and crisis response training (or willing to obtain)Valid Ontario Security Guard License requiredFamiliarity with liquor license enforcement and de-escalation strategiesAbility to work flexible hours, including evenings, weekends, and holidaysExperience working with law enforcement, EMS, and contracted security vendorsExcellent written and verbal communication skillsHigh level of integrity, professionalism, and discretion Strengthened by our Differences.
