The Opportunity

The Euna Procurement team builds the system of record where public-sector compliance rules meet real purchasing decisions, and the Product Owners on this team are the people who translate that complexity into work that ships. As a Junior Product Owner, you will own the backlog for one or more SAFe delivery teams, turning prioritized roadmap initiatives into tightly scoped, technically clear stories that developers and AI agents can execute without rework. If you want your judgment about how procurement actually works to shape software used by government buyers and vendors across North America, this is the role for you.

What You'll Do

• Own the backlog for one or more SAFe delivery teams, keeping stories linked to Epics and Epics linked to PI Objectives so progress is readable without a status meeting.
• Break features into stories small enough to ship in a 2-week sprint, with acceptance criteria a developer or AI agent can act on without coming back for clarification.
• Embed compliance context (accessibility criteria, audit-log requirements, PII handling, API integration contracts) directly into stories so it cannot be missed during implementation.
• Partner daily with your Tech Lead, developers, SDETs, and UX as the first person they ask when a story is ambiguous, and the person who closes that gap fast.
• Use AI tooling (Claude, internal Product Agent, or equivalent) to draft, critique, and tighten stories, and catch and reorganize AI-generated tickets that run too long or lose execution flow before they hit the team.
• Present your team's completed work at System Demos, walking stakeholders through what shipped and why it mattered.

What You Bring

• Direct experience in at least one of the following: procurement software (public or private sector), a procurement role (buyer, procurement manager, category manager, or similar), or a technical background in computer science, engineering, React/Node.js development, or hands-on AI work.
• Strong written communication skills, tickets and async coordination across SAFe teams are writing jobs first.
• The ability to read React and SQL well enough to discuss a refactor with a Tech Lead, you do not need to write production code, but you need to follow it.
• Comfort working in a regulated or compliance-heavy domain, with the instinct to recognize when a rule exists, find out what it says, and treat that learning as part of the job.
• Hands-on experience using AI tooling for drafting, analysis, or critique, along with a clear opinion on where AI helps and where it produces confident nonsense.

Nice-to-Have Qualifications

• Experience contributing to or owning an AI-assisted development workflow, including structuring tickets for AI execution, grading AI output, and iterating on prompts or instructions.
• Demonstrated product-owner craft: the ability to break complex features into small, testable stories with clear acceptance criteria (bring samples).
• Familiarity with Jira, Confluence, and at least one of wireframing, technical writing, or business analysis.
• Prior exposure to govtech, public sector, healthcare, financial services, or legal tech environments.

This position will be hybrid with 3 days/week in our [Oakville, ON / Atlanta, GA] office.
