Pelmorex operates at the intersection of weather, digital media, advertising, consumer technology, and B2B weather intelligence. Across the company, we generate and manage an unusually broad and valuable set of data: large-scale weather forecasts and observations, historical weather archives, consumer behavioural and location signals, digital product engagement, advertising yield, and commercial customer data.

We are seeking a Senior Manager, Data Strategy & Data Products to own and grow our enterprise and commercial data capabilities. This is a builder’s role at a pivotal inflection point. Third-party identifiers are receding, Canadian privacy legislation (Law 25, PIPEDA, Bill C-27) is evolving, and enterprise clients increasingly want to collaborate on privacy-safe data rather than buy off-the-shelf feeds.

This leader will serve as the business and product owner for Pelmorex’s data portfolio—connecting internal enterprise data foundations with our external commercial products across Audience Segments, Foot Traffic Attribution (FTA), and data collaboration environments (Clean Rooms).

Clear Ownership Division:

You will work in close partnership with technical leads and data engineering architectures. You own the "what, why, for whom, and priority," while technical lead counterparts own the "how." This is a strategy, commercial, and product leadership role focused on value realization, customer discovery, and product execution.

WHAT'S THE DAY TO DAY LIKE?

1. Data Product Strategy & Portfolio Ownership

• 
  

  Own the vision, commercial performance, roadmap, and delivery of Pelmorex's commercial and enterprise data product portfolio (Audience Segments, Foot Traffic Attribution, DSP data integrations, and Data Collaboration/Clean Rooms).



• 
  

  Treat the data platform as a product, deeply understanding internal consumers (Consumer Product, Analytics, Sales) and external buyers (Agencies, Brands, Retail Media Networks).



• 
  

  Track portfolio health, revenue targets, margins, and operational metrics, providing regular reporting and forecasting to executive leadership.



• 
  

  Lead and mentor a team of Product Managers, setting direction, developing capability, and driving evidence-based decisions.

2. Data Platform, Privacy & Collaboration Capabilities

• 
  

  Define and execute a privacy-safe data collaboration capability (Data Clean Rooms, secure enclaves) that enables clients and partners to combine datasets safely without exposing raw personal data.



• 
  

  Partner with Legal and Privacy stakeholders to interpret and operationalize Quebec's Law 25, PIPEDA, and pending federal reforms into consent architecture, product requirements, and data retention rules.



• 
  

  Set data source strategies, defining how weather, location, and behavioural signals are combined to create reusable enterprise data products (e.g., weather-triggered ad segments, yield models, and forecast verification metrics).



• 
  

  Drive adoption of certified enterprise data products while migrating internal teams away from fragmented reporting and duplicate pipelines.

3. Commercial & Client Partnerships

• 
  

  Work alongside Sales, Sales Operations, and B2B organizations to commercialize data products, join senior client calls, and shorten time-to-market.



• 
  

  Package and price clean room and collaboration capabilities into standardized commercial product offerings rather than one-off custom solutions.



• 
  

  Develop strategic data partnerships with agency holding companies, data providers, and adtech platforms.



• 
  

  Act as a credible senior voice with clients on data strategy, matching architectures, and privacy-safe measurement.

4. Cross-Functional Leadership

• 
  

  Partner closely with Engineering, Data Science, and Weather Science leadership to align roadmaps, sequence capacity, and resolve trade-offs.



• 
  

  Translate business problems into clear requirements and measurable outcomes for technical development teams.



• 
  

  Build business cases for data bets, demonstrating ROI through revenue growth, operational efficiency, speed, and competitive differentiation.

WE ARE HOPING YOU HAVE:

• 
  

  Experience: 7–8+ years of experience in data product management, adtech, martech, enterprise data strategy, or commercial data platforms.



• 
  

  Domain Expertise: Proven background in digital media, advertising, or data supply chains, with an understanding of DSPs, SSPs, audience taxonomies, and attribution methodologies.



• 
  

  Data Collaboration & Privacy: Demonstrated experience with privacy-enhancing technologies or clean room platforms (e.g., InfoSum, LiveRamp, Habu, Snowflake, Databricks, or Google Ads Data Hub).



• 
  

  Regulatory & Privacy Fluency: Practical understanding of Canadian privacy frameworks (Law 25, PIPEDA) as applied to commercial data products.



• 
  

  Data Architecture Understanding: Strong working knowledge of modern data platforms, data pipelines, semantic layers, and identity resolution (understanding how data flows without needing to write code).



• 
  

  Commercial Track Record: Demonstrated success owning commercial outcomes, pricing/packaging data capabilities, and driving measurable revenue or margin growth.



• 
  

  Communication & Stakeholder Management: Exceptional ability to explain complex matching architecture to a CMO and business requirements to an engineer in the same day.

NICE TO HAVE

• 
  

  Experience launching a dedicated Data Clean Room or Data Collaboration product from scratch.



• 
  

  Experience working with geospatial, location, or weather data assets.



• 
  

  Bilingual in English and French.
