As a Long-Term Occasional Teacher (LTO) for DDSB, you'll create a vibrant and supportive learning environment where students thrive. You'll bring your passion for teaching to the classroom, guiding students through their educational journey and fostering a love for learning.
Key Responsibilities

• Develop and deliver engaging lessons that align with the curriculum and support student learning.
• Assess and monitor student progress, providing feedback to help students grow.
• Create a positive and inclusive classroom environment where every student feels valued.
• Collaborate with colleagues, parents, and the community to enhance student learning.
• Adapt teaching methods and materials to meet the diverse needs of students.

Qualifications and additional information:

• Required subject qualifications: Family Studies
• FTE: 1.0
• Grade(s)/assignment:Family Studies and Social Sciences, 1.0 - Grade 10 Foods, Grade 10 Civics and Careers, Grade 11 Social Science Introduction to Anthropology, Psychology, and Sociology
• Tentative course codes (if known): HFN 2O1 x2, CHV/GLC 2O1, HIF 1O1 and HSP 3U1 x2
• Ontario teaching certificate (OCT) in good standing
• Secondary LTO Salary Range: $57,986 to $119,967/year (Placement on salary grid is based on QECO rating and teaching experience. Salary will be pro-rated based on the position FTE).
