Canada Chamber Communications Advisor Volunteer

Become an Advocacy and Communications Advisor with the Canada Chamber of Commerce in Ethiopia for a meaningful volunteer experience. This role enhances trade relations and communication strategies vital to bilateral cooperation. Based in Addis Ababa for three months, you will implement a strategic communication framework designed for promoting investment and trade partnerships between Canada and Ethiopia. Your responsibilities encompass developing content, engaging stakeholders, and strategically advocating for mutual trade policies. This position also involves storytelling to showcase successful trade stories. Key Responsibilities:
- Craft policy briefs to support foreign investment initiatives
- Produce engaging digital content and manage social media presence
- Facilitate virtual B2B events connecting Canada and Ethiopia
- Keep an organized list of trade stakeholders
- Analyze the impact of advocacy efforts through digital metrics
- Bachelor’s degree in International Relations or similar
- 3 to 5 years of relevant professional experience
- Strong writing and presentation abilities
- Proficiency in content management systems
- Insight into the AfCFTA and trade diversification objectives
