About Us: Klondike Welding Ltd. is a CWB certified company in Division 1 with an in-house engineering department. We specialize in the fabrication and erection of steel structures. We pride ourselves on delivering high-quality workmanship and innovative solutions for our clients.
- Job Description: We are seeking a skilled Metal Fabricator with extensive experience in fitting steel building components to join our team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for the fabrication and fitting of various steel components, read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications drafted by CISC accredited detailer (columns, beams, cross-bracings)
Responsibilities:
- Read and interpret blueprints, drawings, and specifications drafted by CISC accredited detailer (columns, beams, cross-bracings)
- Fit and assemble structural framework and materials such as angle iron, I-beams, and other steel components.
- Operate various fabrication equipment including shears, saws, presses, drills, and other hand tools.
- Weld components using manual or semi-automatic welding equipment.
- Inspect fabricated products for quality and conformance to specifications.
- Work collaboratively with other team members to complete projects on time and to specification.
- Follow safety protocols and procedures at all times.
Requirements:
- Proven experience as a Metal Fabricator with a focus on fitting steel components.
- Proficiency in reading and interpreting blueprints and technical drawings.
- Ability to operate fabrication equipment and tools safely and efficiently.
- Excellent attention to detail and commitment to producing high-quality work.
- Strong problem-solving skills and ability to work independently or as part of a team.
- Knowledge of safety standards and willingness to adhere to them.
