BCIT’s School of Health Sciences is seeking a temporary, part-time (0.4 FTE) Instructor in the Biotechnology program to teach one course in the Biotechnology Program (BIOT 4230, Animal Cell Biotechnology, Winter term). The candidate will be teaching 2nd year undergraduates in the Joint UBC-BCIT Honors BSc in Biotechnology degree program. This position requires that the candidate have a passion for post secondary education as well as recent knowledge and technical expertise in cell biology. They must have extensive experience in carrying out mammalian cell culture using good aseptic technique and be capable of working with students hands-on in the laboratory to teach these technical skills. Experience with transfection of mammalian cells, fluorescence microscopy and Western blotting are considered assets.
