Engineering Supervisor

Job Responsibility:

Norelco Cabinets Ltd., is a locally owned and operated, multi-award winning cabinet manufacturing company celebrating over 51 years in Kelowna. We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Installation and Service Manager to join our team!

As an Engineering Supervisor, your primary responsibilities will include:

• Supervise and lead a team of CAD designers and engineers in the creation of detailed custom cabinetry drawings for shop use.
• Oversee the development of precise engineering drawings and specifications for custom cabinetry projects.
• Program CNC machines and beam saws to ensure accurate and efficient production of custom cabinetry components.
• Collaborate with clients, designers, and production teams to develop innovative solutions that meet client needs and specifications.
• Implement and maintain engineering best practices and processes to improve efficiency and quality.
• Conduct regular performance evaluations and provide coaching and development opportunities for team members.
• Manage project timelines, resource allocation, and budgeting for engineering projects.
• Ensure compliance with relevant safety and industry standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve engineering issues that arise during the design and production processes.

Qualifications:

• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Industrial Design, or a related field.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in an engineering role, with at least 2 years in a supervisory or leadership position.
• Extensive experience in custom cabinetry, woodworking, or a related industry.
• Proficiency in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD) and other engineering tools.
• Experience with programming CNC machines and Beam saws.
• Strong leadership and team management skills.
• Excellent problem-solving and analytical abilities.
• Effective communication and interpersonal skills.
• Detail-oriented with a strong commitment to quality and precision.
• Ability to manage multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously.
• Conducting thorough quality inspections of completed cabinet installations to identify any defects or discrepancies.
• Collaborating with the installation team to address and rectify any issues in a timely manner.
• Providing feedback and guidance to ensure adherence to established quality standards and best practices.
• Assisting with touch-ups, adjustments, and other tasks as needed to maintain the overall quality of installations.
• Organizing material disposal and maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $32.00-$36.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
