We’re now looking for an Accounts Payable (AP) Clerk to join our finance team on a 12-month contract covering a maternity leave. YOUR MISSION:
As an Accounts Payable Clerk, you’ll be an integral part of the finance team, providing support for our accounts payable functions and helping us maintain smooth operations. You’ll ensure timely and accurate processing of invoices, provide assistance to stakeholders, and keep our financial records in tip-top shape!
For the first six months, the position will primarily focus on Accounts Payable. After this period, the role may evolve to provide support to other departments or positions, based on business needs, demonstrated performance, and organizational priorities.
Core Responsibilities:
- Receive, validate, and provide assistance to stakeholders on processing invoices in a timely manner from all terminals.
- Manage supplier relationships and account reconciliation.
- Support supplier and payment details management, including updates and verifications.
- Manage recovery bills and contra entries related to agents or interline payments.
- Assist in fuel card management as well as fuel and other reports as requested.
- Provide general finance support and cross-train as vacation relief for team members.
- Collaborate with the accounts payable team to provide support to other team members as needed.
WHO WE NEED:
- You have multiple years of previous experience in Accounts Payable. Hands-on experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 Business Central is required. Further experience with Concur Invoice is an asset.
- You have excellent communication skills (both written and verbal) and are proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook).
- You bring strong analytical and problem-solving abilities to the table.
- Your detail-oriented, organized, and thrive in a team-oriented environment.
WHAT YOU HAVE:
- 1 -2 years of verifiable previous full cycle Accounts Payable experience is a must.
- Further inter-departmental clerk experience in areas such as accounts receivable, payroll and operational support is an asset.
- A Diploma or Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration or a related field would be an asset.
- Bonus points for experience with AS400 or knowledge of the trucking industry.
