Une carrière dans les Forces armées canadiennes (FAC) en tant que technicien·ne de systèmes d’information et de télécommunications aérospatiales vous permet d’effectuer, de superviser et de diriger la réparation et l’entretien de tous les types de systèmes d’information et de télécommunications de l’Aviation royale canadienne et des forces interarmées.
Ce poste est offert à temps plein ou à temps partiel.

Aperçu
Leurs principales responsabilités sont les suivantes :
- Effectuer l’entretien préventif et correctif de tous les types de postes radio, de radars et de dispositifs de traitement de données, ainsi que d’équipement cryptographique, terminal, audio et vidéo
- Effectuer des inspections, des essais de rendement et des réglages sur du matériel tactique fixe et mobile de télécommunications
- Réparer, réviser et entretenir l’équipement de télécommunications
- Effectuer des installations et des vérifications de réception
- Effectuer un déploiement dans le cadre de la capacité de soutien de la l’Aviation royale canadienne en tant que membre du 8 Escadron de transmissions et contrôle (Air), de l’Escadron de radar de contrôle tactique, du Régiment des transmissions interarmées des Forces canadiennes ou de toutes les unités du COMFOSCAN

Ce poste s'apparente aux métiers suivants :
- Technicien·ne ou technologue en génie électronique
- Électrotechnicien·ne d’entretien
- Réparateur·trice d’équipement de radiocommunications
- Installateur·trice d’équipement de télécommunications
Pour pouvoir vous enrôler dans les FAC, vous devez :
- posséder la citoyenneté canadienne ou être résident permanent vivant au Canada;
- avoir au moins 18 ans (17 ans avec le consentement parental) sauf pour :
- les programmes d’études subventionnées – avoir au moins 16 ans (avec le consentement des parents);
- la Première réserve – avoir au moins 16 ans (avec le consentement des parents) et être aux études à temps plein;
- avoir terminé sa 10 année ou son 4 secondaire au Québec (certains postes demandent un niveau d’éducation plus élevé).
Études requises
Ce poste exige que les candidat·e·s aient terminé au minimum la 10 année ou le 4 secondaire au Québec, conformément aux normes provinciales, notamment :
- mathématiques appliquées de 10 année (Mathématiques 416 ou Culture, société et technique 4)
Il est possible que les études à l’étranger soient reconnues.
Programme d’enrôlement direct
La personne idéale déjà titulaire d’un diplôme. Si vous détenez un diplôme universitaire ou collégial, les FAC détermineront si votre programme d’études correspond aux critères du poste et, une fois l’instruction de base réussie, peuvent vous placer directement dans un programme de formation en cours d’emploi adapté. L’instruction de base est requise avant toute affectation.
