About The Opportunity
Our client is a law firm located in downtown Ottawa. They are looking for an experienced Legal/Executive Assistant to join their team on a full-time, permanent basis.
About The Opportunity
Duties include but are not limited to:
- Client contact (telephone and email)
- File opening, retainers, coordinate with accounting
- Filing in appropriate corporate drives
- Reporting, scheduling, and organizing
- Documentation - drafting, typing, editing and publication
- File administration - WIP monitoring, billing and monitoring of accounts receivable and payable
- Daily docketing of work on all files, and ensuring proper recording of all services on all files
- Monthly billing and reporting
- Handle inquiries directed to the lawyer's office, and keep lawyer fully informed
About You
- Minimum of ten (10) years experience working as a Legal/Executive Assistant in a law firm
- A Legal Assistant or Law Clerk diploma is preferred
- Experience supporting a busy corporate law practice is required
- Any experience with commercial transactions, commercial real estate, and wills/estates would be considered a definite asset
About the Job
Salary will depend on experience but is likely to fall within the $65,000 to $80,000/year range. Benefits and free parking will be offered. This position requires daily onsite attendance.
