We are seeking a skilled, reliable Handyman to join our Maintenance team. The successful candidate will have experience in a variety of trades, including minor plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and general maintenance. This position is ideal for someone who takes initiative, solves problems efficiently, and works well independently while contributing to a collaborative crew environment.
Duties and Responsibilities:
Complete carpentry-related tasks including trim work, painting, drywall repairs, and finishing work.
Troubleshoot and resolve a variety of maintenance and repair issues.
Coordinate and prioritize daily maintenance activities to ensure efficient completion of work orders.
Work collaboratively with maintenance crew members on projects, repairs, and property improvements.
Provide support and share knowledge with team members as required.
Respond to service requests in a timely manner and maintain accountability for daily productivity.
Organize tools, materials, and equipment required for assigned tasks.
Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.
Follow safety regulations, company policies, and industry best practices. Qualifications:
Proven experience in a handyman, maintenance, or related trade position.
Strong troubleshooting, problem-solving, and time-management skills.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision and as part of a team.
Demonstrated ability to prioritize tasks and support successful project completion.
Valid Class 5 driver's licence and reliable transportation.
Ability to provide a current Criminal Record Check.
Strong attention to detail and pride in workmanship. Assets:
Trade certifications or related maintenance experience.
Experience coordinating maintenance projects or supporting crew-based work environments.
Ability to troubleshoot minor HVAC systems and specialized repairs.
