Role Description

This is a full-time, on-site position for a Senior Production Accountant based in Calgary, AB. The Senior Production Accountant will handle day-to-day financial and production accounting tasks, including managing project accounting activities, monitoring cash flow, and preparing reports. They will work collaboratively with finance teams to ensure accurate data recording, analysis, and compliance with operational standards. This is a critical role designed to manage full - cycle production, revenue, and royalty accounting as our asset base and production volumes continue to grow.

Primary Responsibilities

• Full - Cycle Production Accounting: Gather, validate, and process field data to ensure accurate facility balancing and volumetric allocations for assigned properties.

• Regulatory & Petrinex Reporting: Complete timely and accurate monthly volumetric reporting to Petrinex, ensuring strict compliance with AER guidelines and EPAP standards.

• Revenue & Royalty Calculations: Assist in calculating and booking revenues, Crown royalties, and gross overriding royalties (GORRs).

• Reconciliations & Discrepancy Resolution: Perform monthly account and pipeline reconciliations, working closely with marketing, joint venture partners, and field operators to investigate and resolve discrepancies.

• Cross - Functional Collaboration: Act as a proactive liaison between Field Operations, Finance, and Marketing to ensure seamless information flow and data integrity across the organization.

• Master Data: Well, royalty, market master, facility charges and other master data set - ups in Metrix.

Qualifications

• Industry Experience: 10+ years of progressive production accounting experience, specifically within the Canadian oil and gas industry (small - cap or mid - cap E&P experience is highly preferred).

• Technical Proficiency: Hands - on, demonstrated expertise with the Metrix PA System, Qbyte Financial System, and Avocet Field Data System is an asset.

• Education : Completion of the CAPPA (Canadian Association of Petroleum Production Accounting) program is highly preferred.

• Regulatory Knowledge: Deep understanding of Petrinex and current Alberta Energy Regulator (AER) directives.

• Core Competencies: Strong analytical, problem - solving, and communication skills. Ability to work autonomously while effectively supporting team objectives in a lean organizational structure.
