Lead health and safety initiatives with Niagara Catholic as a Health and Safety Supervisor in Welland, ON. Enjoy a vibrant culture while ensuring workplace safety and statutory compliance. In this full-time position, you'll report to the Executive Officer of Human Resources, leading safety and prevention efforts. You will work collaboratively with leaders and staff to implement health and safety programs, while managing workplace risks and compliance with the Occupational Health and Safety Act. Key Responsibilities:
- Act as subject matter expert on health and safety
- Develop policies and procedures for compliance
- Analyze and mitigate workplace hazards
- Provide counsel on health and safety policies
- Support critical injury investigations and work refusals
- Post-secondary education or equivalent experience
- CRSP or CHRL designation preferred
- 3-5 years in health and safety management
- Knowledge of WSIB and safety legislation
- Strong organizational and communication skills
