Lead mechanical design for OSI marine navigation and bridge systems using SolidWorks, GD&T, and hands-on technical review. Guide engineers and CAD designers within Hardware Engineering.As Mechanical Design Team Lead, you direct assigned team work under the Mechanical Design Manager. You oversee mechanical designs, 3D models, and drawings for government and naval markets. Your responsibilities span planning, technical quality, mentoring, and delivery against schedule, budget, standards, and customer requirements.Key Responsibilities:
Lead and supervise mechanical engineers and CAD designersPlan, estimate, assign, and schedule team workReview designs, models, drawings, and GD&T before releaseResolve or escalate technical and schedule risksMentor members and support process improvementsRequirements:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or equivalentSeven-plus years in mechanical designTwo-plus years leading teams or serving as technical leadAdvanced SolidWorks and GD&T knowledgeNATO Secret clearance and controlled goods eligibilityApply mechanical design leadership, SolidWorks expertise, and mentoring skills to OSI's naval and government systems.
