Assistant Professor in Quantum Photonics

Join the University of Toronto as an Assistant Professor in Photonics Quantum Technologies. Lead innovative research while contributing to a legacy of academic excellence and student mentorship. The Edward S. Rogers Sr. Department of Electrical and Computer Engineering is seeking a full-time faculty member to enhance its tenure-stream offerings. This role focuses on advancing research in photonic devices, systems, and applications leveraging quantum properties of light. Candidates will also develop course materials and teach at both undergraduate and graduate levels, fostering collaboration across industry and academia. Key Responsibilities:
- Lead research programs in photonics and quantum technologies
- Secure external funding for innovative research projects
- Develop and deliver course materials and lectures
- Mentor undergraduate and graduate students effectively
- Collaborate with industry and academic partners nationwide
- Ph.D. in Electrical and Computer Engineering or related field
- Proven excellence in research and publication
- Strong teaching effectiveness record
- Preferred Professional Engineer registration in Ontario
- Commitment to equity, diversity, and inclusion
