Schedule: Part-time, weekdays
Pho & Roll by Wooden Fish is a Vietnamese restaurant on Cambie Street and the sister location of Wooden Fish. We are looking for a reliable and motivated Part-Time Prep Cook to join our kitchen team.
We’re looking for someone who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, works well with others, and takes pride in preparing consistent, high-quality food.
Responsibilities
- Prepare and cook Vietnamese dishes according to restaurant recipes and standards
- Prepare ingredients including vegetables, proteins, sauces, broths, and other kitchen items
- Set up and maintain a clean and organized workstation
- Ensure dishes are prepared accurately, consistently, and efficiently during service
- Follow food safety, sanitation, and kitchen safety procedures
- Assist with receiving, storing, and rotating ingredients and supplies
- Monitor ingredient levels and communicate when items need to be restocked
- Work closely with other kitchen and front-of-house team members
- Assist with opening and closing kitchen duties as required
What We’re Looking For
- Previous kitchen or restaurant experience is preferred
- Experience with Vietnamese or Asian cuisine is an asset, but not required
- Must be available to work weekdays
- Daytime and/or evening availability is preferred
- Reliable, punctual, and comfortable working in a fast-paced kitchen
- Strong teamwork and communication skills
- Good attention to detail and food quality
- Willingness to learn and follow established recipes and procedures
- Able to stand for extended periods and perform regular kitchen duties
Compensation
Starting at $20/hour , with opportunities for wage increases based on experience, skills, and performance .
