Job Responsibility:
In the role of Retail Sales Manager, you will be instrumental in driving sales and enhancing customer satisfaction. Reporting to the Store Manager, you will leverage your core skills in customer service, sales, and communication to effectively engage with customers and lead your team.
Tasks:
- Direct and control daily operations
- Manage staff and assign duties
- Determine merchandise and services to be sold
- Develop and implement marketing strategies
- Determine staffing requirements
- Resolve issues that may arise, including customer requests, complaints and supply shortages
- Recruit, hire and supervise staff and/or volunteers
- Advise on wine selection and serve wine
- Perform sensory evaluation of wines
- Perform general clerical duties
- Order and maintain inventory of wines and wine glassware
- Describe and advise on wine selection
- Pack and unpack goods
- Pack, weigh and stack bound and finished products on pallet for shipment

Job Requirements:
- Experience in sales.
- Self-starter and highly motivated
- Excellent oral and written English language skills.
- Comprehensive understanding of wine and the wine industry.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to utilize a computer, including a specialized wine marketing program (Wine Direct or Commerce7)
- Ability to lift 22kgs (47lbs)
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: Up to $60,000.00 per year
